Sunday school department
The Sunday school department in the Anglican Church of Kenya has grown steadily since its foundation in 1844.The Sunday school Rurago church started in the year 1987 with very few kids of approximate of thirty children. Mr. Jimmy Njenga was their Sunday teacher. The Sunday school department has had a tremendous growth since it has around two hundred Sunday school children.

A strengthened Sunday school department with Children who know Jesus as their friend and savior, firmly built on the word of God and able to face the challenges of the millennium.
Mission
To bring children into a living relationship with Jesus Christ, through teaching and enabling them to grow in faith and live life in its fullness
· The department has had several activities that include the following;-
· Christian teaching for their spiritual growth
· Social Interaction
· Get together and conferences
· Rallies and Music Competition
· Annual Palm Sunday where the children are involved in leading the worship services through which they are able to raise their funds to support their department.
